The ZERO+ Bootie is the latest iteration of our winter shoe cover, utilizing an innovative and proprietary Italian-made soft-shell fabric. It has the look of neoprene but is far warmer and lighter, all while providing exceptional wet weather protection as well. Its magic lies in the "spacer" within the fabric, which creates an air cavity that traps warm air. The outer face along with the membrane provides wind and water protection, while the inner face keeps your feet warm. This unique "four-layer" fabric is windproof and water resistant, keeping your feet warm and dry throughout the winter months.

I’ve walked in them, I’ve rode in them, I’ve washed them. I’ve even subjected these poor things to port-a-potties and peeled them off in the worst way. They are no worse for the wear.
Quality is excellent just a bit too bulky for what I was looking for, so I returned them.
Have not owned booties in god knows how long, but figured I’d need them for my emerging gravel career (kidding on the career part, but I am loving my new gravel bike). XL fits perfect over my sz 46 Wide shoes, and these things while minimalistic look like an expensive sports car-always impressed with Velocio design and build, but these are a work of art.
These have definitely kept my feet/toes warmer compared to rain booties from a competitor. I'm not sure I trust them alone when the temperature is in the 20's or low 30's F, as my toes get colder the older I get, so I usually add some toe warmers under them for the 30's and chemical heat packs in the 20's. Combined with merino socks, alone they definitely keep my feet warm in the 40's. They're easy to get on/off, seem durable after a few months use, and they clean well. I used the size chart and while they do seem a little longer in the heel than needed, that does make them easier to get on/off. They fit perfectly in the ankle/calf, and zipper seems solid.
It does indeed run large in size, but it was easy to exchange to get the right fit. They worked well on the first ride, which was especially good because my toe warmers died midway through.
