A totally new take on the summer base layer, the Radiator uses a unique mesh fabric developed by Polartec, made of polyester and a natural fiber derived from wood pulp called Tencel. The fabric regulates body temp far better than synthetic fiber alone. Hence, the Radiator keeps you comfortable through evaporative cooling, by absorbing moisture (Tencel) and drying (polyester) over the surface. The result is a supremely comfortable base layer that performs throughout the summer months and warm to hot climates.

Mesh structure and flat lock construction make for the perfect ultralight summer base layer, designed to be worn in conjunction with our jerseys and bib shorts for the best combination of comfort and performance.

Caring for your cycling gear properly will extend its life and maintain its performance, fit and quality. Its important to consider these instructions carefully. While we stand behind the quality of our apparel, not adhering to these instructions will void our warranty against manufacturing & defects. 

We strongly recommend washing your new gear before wearing it. Youll find that your apparel will soften, and fit & comfort will improve after washing - especially with bibs & shorts. 

Machine wash cool, 86F (30C) with like colors: Cooler temps maintain better longevity for your apparel. Like colors, especially lights, will remain more vibrant when washed with like colors. 

Use mild detergent. Do not bleach or dry clean: Strong detergents & bleach can break down the fibers and elastane in the garment, dramatically reducing its life. 

Close all fastenings: this goes also for other garments mixed in with your cycling apparel. Velcro closures or clasps can catch on stitching or trim and damage your garments. 

Lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry: Do not put your cycling apparel in the dryer. Even on low heat. Dont do it. Heat can damage fabric, elastic and heat transfer logos very easily. Lycra (Elastane) is used throughout our garments to provide compression and support and is susceptible to damage from heat and can irreparably damage your apparel.

There is purposely overlap at the outside ranges for each size, allowing you to fine-tune your fit. If your size falls into these overlapping portions, choose the smaller size for a more tailored performance fit, or the larger size for a standard fit.

Great product

I love this baselayer, just as Iove all my Velocio pieces. It pairs seamlessly with my jersey, wicks amazingly well, and basically disappears--I know it's doing its job but I am not aware it is there. The perfect cycling layer!

Runs small

I wear a Medium in most things, so I was disappointed to find how tiny a size Medium was in this top. It was skin tight and the arm holes were very uncomfortable.

my go-to base layer

This base layer is great. I’ve worn it on humid 80-degree days under a feather-weight jersey, and on chilly upper 30-degree days under a thermal jersey and soft-shell. Whatever the weather conditions, it does the job—keeps me dry, and keeps my core temperature comfortable. It’s light-weight and form-fitting, but not overly snug—which I like. My chest is 33” and waist 26”, and this base layer seems like it could stretch to fit ladies with larger measurements. I wear regular shorts/tights (no bibs). I would love for this base layer to be 2” longer, so the tuck-in would be more secure. The photos make it look longer than it is on me. (measurement from back of neck to hemline—size Small—21")
