At the core of our advocacy is our commitment to donating 1% of gross sales to environmental causes. We joined 1% for the Planet in 2018, becoming the first in the cycling apparel industry to do so, and it has led to over a quarter million dollars directly supporting advocacy across the United States and around the world.
Recipients have included the Conservation Alliance, Forward Whaktipu, Vermont Mountain Bike Association, and many more. Since 2022 all donations have supported the organizations and people who are getting their hands dirty, creating a better trail riding experience.
These are just some of the highlights.
We were instrumental in the creation of the first all-adaptive trail network in Vermont — coined The Driving Range — with everything from double black descents to approachable B lines.
Our funds go directly to the CMBMA trail crew, helping maintain an area over 433 square miles with over 483 miles of trail. Recent accomplishments include the new Sideshow Trail, and an upcoming two-mile trail being constructed imminently.
Located in Oregon's Rocky Point Trail System, Stumpocalypse is a big air jump line overlooking the Willamette River and the Portland Skyline.
With a mission to protect and regenerate the Tāhuna Queenstown area through community education, collaboration, and action, Forward Whaktipu has been able to put our dollars to work in a storied riding location.
Through 1% for the Planet, we have been able to support trails world wide. Through our in-house design, long-time partnerships with European manufactures, and carefully researched fabric sourcing, we are able to make more sustainable choices in every product we create.
The all-new Delta Overprint Jersey exemplifies this approach. Employing remnant Polartec Delta fabric, the trail jersey is also made with recycled polyester, reducing it's environmental impact at every turn.
