Caring for your cycling gear properly will extend its life and maintain its performance, fit and quality. Its important to consider these instructions carefully. While we stand behind the quality of our apparel, not adhering to these instructions will void our warranty against manufacturing & defects.
We strongly recommend washing your new gear before wearing it. Youll find that your apparel will soften, and fit & comfort will improve after washing - especially with bibs & shorts.
Machine wash cool, 86F (30C) with like colors: Cooler temps maintain better longevity for your apparel. Like colors, especially lights, will remain more vibrant when washed with like colors.
Use mild detergent. Do not bleach or dry clean: Strong detergents & bleach can break down the fibers and elastane in the garment, dramatically reducing its life.
Close all fastenings: this goes also for other garments mixed in with your cycling apparel. Velcro closures or clasps can catch on stitching or trim and damage your garments.
Lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry: Do not put your cycling apparel in the dryer. Even on low heat. Dont do it. Heat can damage fabric, elastic and heat transfer logos very easily. Lycra (Elastane) is used throughout our garments to provide compression and support and is susceptible to damage from heat and can irreparably damage your apparel.

Sizing Guide
Our jerseys and bib shorts are intended to be form fit, providing compressive support, maximizing the performance of the fabrics, and reducing fatigue and chafing. Please use the charts below to help determine your optimum size. If you find that you are on the upper or lower end of height and weight for a given size, the garment will have more or less compression respectively. In areas of overlap, multiple sizes will work — choose between the smaller or larger option for more or less compression.

United Statescan't stop wearing it
I am one of those guys that has said, "I'd never pay that much for a hoodie" but, I did and I have not stopped wearing it. I even got the oatmeal one which is hard to keep the sleeve cuffs clean-but that would happen on any white/light product with long sleeves so no ding on the stars of the review, in a dream world i'd love this oatmeal with contrast charcoal sleeve cuffs to keep clean-but I know that would raise the MSRP and I have sprayed soapy water on JUST the cuffs to clean them without having to do a full wash. I traditionally don't like Merino fabric, it's just not soft enough for my liking-but this merino is fantastic. The zipper is smooth and easy to start, the hoodie dimensions are great when pulled up The fit of this hoodie and the placement of seams, the warmth when I want it and the cooling when I need it, is really remarkable. Who would of thought I could love a darn hoodie this much. I have resorted to mostly wearing it casually and if I ever ride on my bike it is for a grocery getter run or something. I am 6 foot, 150lbs, thin athletic (old) build and the medium fits me as if a tailor made it for me-perfect.

As expected, this is a high-quality item, but there are a few misses. I'm a medium in most Velocio jerseys, but this hoodie runs large. The cuffs are odd and very loose.

I think I've worn this hoodie everywhere I possibly can and am totally in love with it. I've taken it everywhere from casual bike rides to wearing it all day at work, with no issues at all. The double zipper is a nice feature especially while on a bike ride, being able to open the bottom of the hoodie makes it more comfortable. Also found that the hidden pocket on the back side is a good place to keep your keys, or in my case dog treats on walks.

The RECON Hoodie rocks! It is the perfect jacket for on an off the bike. It has been great for a light spin through the woods on a cool day, or just meeting up with friends for a cup of coffee.

This has become my go to hoodie, and I plan to order a second one. My commute is often cold, windy and rainy. New England. A hoodie and vest (if you can find a better vest than the latest Recon vest I want to hear) is my commuting kit. So I have worn hoodies like this for years on a daily basis. I was curious to see how Velocio would stack up. Historically, I preferred 100% merino garments. The Recon Hoodie definitely changed my appreciation of polyester. This blend is super cozy, feels more durable through repeated washes, and retains its shape better through use and wash. For me, the sizing made perfect sense. My large fits just like I want. Typically, I purchase size Large. This is true with Velocio, although I do sometimes go w/ Medium (e.g. Recon vest) and sometimes with XL because at 195cm, I need the length. I wore the recon vest + hoodie combo alpine skiing on bluebird days last year.
