I have little basis for comparison but I am in love with these thermals. The seem to be good for anything in the low 50s on down. So far I’ve ridden them on a 70 miler in sunny low 40s weather, a 30 miler in sunny high 40s, and a muggy dark morning that started in the low 50s and then dropped. They are the perfect kind of cozy that might make you think you’re over dressed, but once you start riding these bibs disappear. They are less thick and blankety than another brand’s thermals that I tried and returned. I’m also a huge fan of the velocio chamois—not too thin, not too thick—and while I hover between a S and M in the bibs I am comfortable and compressed in the S here (For reference, I am approximately 30” waist and 40” hip, 140 lbs) Length works for me, too, at 5’4”. These were an investment but so worth it!
I love the way these bibs fit, and being able to take a nature break without undressing is a game changer!
Heading into late fall in Colorado these have been great at keeping me warm enough to continue riding even when the temp is dropping into the low 40’s . Wish they could do something about the wind.
I love these bibs so much!! Bought them several years ago for the whole team and just recently bought myself a second pair. I gained Too much weight over the pandemic to squeeze into the old ones. Lol!!
Im taking the time to write to review because I appreciated the ones left while shopping! Specifically pertaining to fit/sizing. As far as comfort and warmth on the saddle: top!notch! I'm very happy with how warm these kept me in 28 - 40 F weather in NYC. The chammy is also lovely. The fly free - life changing. Fit: I'm 5'9 and ~150, carrying most of my weight in my tummy. I initially ordered a M but felt a bit too much compression, and tight in the torso area (surprising because I barely fill a B cup) so decided to size up to a L. Initially I was very certain about my decision, and still stand by it, but I have noticed that with wear and wash, the tights have softened, and I probably could have stuck it out with the M and they would have ended up perfect. The L now feels a bit loose on my legs and lower back, which is really not a big deal, and fit great everywhere else.
