Love the fit and comfort.
Great bib tights for the SF bay area, where temperatures are always cool/moderate. The XS is just a tiny bit snug for me (5'2", 115lb, long torso) but nicely compressive, and I imagine that over time they'll stretch a little bit to perfection. The fabric feels really comfortable and yet durable, and of course I love the fly feature!
I have worn them twice in 45ish degree weather. They were not too hot, not too cold. They fit perfectly and the fabric is really nice and soft. No irritation behind the knees, either. I am always a size medium for shorts in brands like Castelli, Verge, etc… These fit well as a large. Medium was snug.
Velocio stuff costs a lot of money. I knew I wanted to try the zip-backed bibs, and I knew I needed a new good bib tight... fortunately a sale came along. Now I wonder why I waited so long. I may not have more than 1 or 2 rides before it's too warm to wear them until the fall, but they're great. Took me a bit to figure out how to use the zipper (got to peel yourself like a banana, with your knees really up at your chest) but I did, and they seem to be constructed sturdily enough that they won't bust at the zipper. i think of myself as a M, but hate having sausage effects of too compresive clothing, so I got the L and I am glad I did. Even though I am only on the border, next time I'll err on the larger side when ordering.
I’ve been on the hunt for about a year now, for all weather bib tights. The women’s selection for bib tights is extremely limited and I even tried a couple men’s pairs. Of all the options I tried, none compare to these right here. The chamois is crazy comfy. You can see and feel the quality. Though I bought these on sale, I’d 100% pay full price.
