Caring for your cycling gear properly will extend its life and maintain its performance, fit and quality. It’s important to consider these instructions carefully. While we stand behind the quality of our apparel, not adhering to these instructions will void our warranty against manufacturing & defects.
We strongly recommend washing your new gear before wearing it. You’ll find that your apparel will soften, and fit & comfort will improve after washing - especially with bibs & shorts.
Machine wash cool, 86°F (30°C) with like colors: Cooler temps maintain better longevity for your apparel. Like colors, especially lights, will remain more vibrant when washed with like colors.
Use mild detergent. Do not bleach or dry clean: Strong detergents & bleach can break down the fibers and elastane in the garment, dramatically reducing its life.
Close all fastenings: this goes also for other garments mixed in with your cycling apparel. Velcro closures or clasps can catch on stitching or trim and damage your garments.
Lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry: Do not put your cycling apparel in the dryer. Even on low heat. Don’t do it. Heat can damage fabric, elastic and heat transfer logos very easily. Lycra (Elastane) is used throughout our garments to provide compression and support and is susceptible to damage from heat and can irreparably damage your apparel.
All styles are intended to be form-fitting, across the entire size range. Find a flexible tape measure and take your own body measurements.
Chest - Start by placing a measuring tape around the largest part of your chest. The tape should be flat but not too snug.
Waist - Your natural waist lies between your bottom ribs and hip bones, close to the navel. To measure, breathe deeply, relax your stomach and lie the tape measure flat around your waist, allowing for a ¼ inch of slack.
Hip - Measured around the widest point of your hips.
Model measurements - Shown wearing size M jersey / M bib short.

I had previously ordered a pair of Velocio bibs and really liked them. I love supporting a small company and Velocio seems to be putting innovation and quality first. I like the styling of their cycling gear and thought I'd try one of their jerseys. I decided on the tricolor SE short sleeve jersey. I used the sizing estimator and it was spot on. Fit is snug but not tight for me and accommodates a base layer and over top of bibs well. Fabric feels silky smooth inside and out. A close look at the stitching on the inner seams is prominent but does not itch, and isn't abrasive or offending. Better, the stitching seems very well done. No loose stitching, loose threads or skipped areas. Pockets are generously sized. There is a zippered pocket on the right side, that I assume is for money, ID, key or other valuable. I haven't found a use as yet. Colors are rich. I chose the green/green/black and it is subtle and very classy IMHO. Graphics are minimalist and you won't feel like a billboard. Are you listening Specialized? Several pieces of retroreflective trim but definitely not a hi-viz jersey. The arm bands have a very soft, rolled edge, as opposed to some other brands that are going with a spandex type arm band. Arm length is generous but not too long. There is a silicone gripper waist on the inside. Nice touch to keep the jersey in place and an elastic sewn into the waist that makes this something every jersey should have. I am a zipper hawk and my measure of most garments is the quality of the zippers used. There just is no excuse for poor zippers! Velocio doesn't disappoint. Zippers are YKK, with plastic covers over the zipper lever, and the full length front zipper has zipper caddy's top and bottom and a generously sized soft pad between the zipper and skin. Well done! This will be a great warm weather jersey. So far only outside on two rides as it is still in 40's here, but several in door spin classes. Launders nicely and no odd odors.
