Caring for your cycling gear properly will extend its life and maintain its performance, fit and quality. It’s important to consider these instructions carefully. While we stand behind the quality of our apparel, not adhering to these instructions will void our warranty against manufacturing & defects.
We strongly recommend washing your new gear before wearing it. You’ll find that your apparel will soften, and fit & comfort will improve after washing - especially with bibs & shorts.
Machine wash cool, 86°F (30°C) with like colors: Cooler temps maintain better longevity for your apparel. Like colors, especially lights, will remain more vibrant when washed with like colors.
Use mild detergent. Do not bleach or dry clean: Strong detergents & bleach can break down the fibers and elastane in the garment, dramatically reducing its life.
Close all fastenings: this goes also for other garments mixed in with your cycling apparel. Velcro closures or clasps can catch on stitching or trim and damage your garments.
Lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry: Do not put your cycling apparel in the dryer. Even on low heat. Don’t do it. Heat can damage fabric, elastic and heat transfer logos very easily. Lycra (Elastane) is used throughout our garments to provide compression and support and is susceptible to damage from heat and can irreparably damage your apparel.
We started with a new pad. Not a sourced pad, nor a pad that we 3D printed, but an entirely new construction for a cycling pad combining high density foam, anti-vibration inserts and a pre-shaped anatomically moulded contour with exceptional breathability. From there we wrapped this bib short in premium compression fabrics and a unique aero construction. The result is a new concept in Bib Short design elevating comfort and performance.
The new chamois developed exclusively for the CONCEPT bib shorts uses several techniques to create something totally new. Designed to "float", the chamois is totally integrated into the patterning of the short, meaning fewer seams and chafe points, and a more fluid pedaling motion.
This new design means the chamois stays in place while you pedal, conforming to your body and matching your every move. From the outside, it's the cleanest and most streamlined bib short available on the market today and sets a new standard for what's possible for high performance cycling apparel.
Velocio fit is designed for comfort and performance. Starting with a form-fit silhouette, we've developed our men's-specific patterns from the ground up to compliment a wide range of body types and riding styles. All of our apparel is tailored for on-bike fit to ensure optimal muscle support and range of motion while riding. You may find certain aspects of our garments to seem "off" while standing, yet once you start pedaling these points disappear.
Velocio bibs and shorts are made from highly compressive performance fabric for excellent support through an athletic fit. They will feel small when you first put them on and will often require washing and a few rides for them to "break in." We strongly believe in the benefits of compression - both in its performance benefits, as well as in its long-distance comfort - and we've designed all of our bibs with this in mind.
Our jersey fit is a slim form-fit cut designed to provide light compression and muscle support, exceptional comfort and a streamlined look. For 2019, we’ve made some adjustments to our sizing to allow for more flexibility in fit across a broader range of body types and preferences. Our larger sizes have be re-proportioned while maintaining a tailored look.
Chest - Start by placing a measuring tape around the largest part of your chest. The tape should be flat but not too snug.
Waist - Your natural waist lies between your bottom ribs and hip bones, close to the navel. To measure, breathe deeply, relax your stomach and lie the tape measure flat around your waist, allowing for a ¼ inch of slack.
Hip - Measured around the widest point of your hips.
Model measurements - Shown wearing size M.

I love everything about these bibs: fit, aerodynamics, chamois…the lot.
These bibs feel and look like no other. I’m used to wearing high end Assos, these beat them hands down. I wish they would come in some more colors like dark blue and olive.
The shrts are amazing. I will say to read the website description that the short are very snug compression thus a bit tight. I typicaly waer a medium and that is what I purchased. They are very snug. The site also says they need to be worn to “break them in” so don’t wear them without breaking them in a bit for a big ride or race.
This item didn’t work great for me. Pad was too thick(never thought I’d utter those words) and when it settled I was only sitting on some of the pad. I’m 6’2 and 160lbs. I love medium in your standard bibs. They fit as well as any bib had ever fit me. The concept bib was just too tight overall and the pad felt too thick and just didn’t settle underneath me in a comfortable way.
No much too say except these are very nice as expected at their price and the chamois design is excellent
