Using the latest and most advanced version of Polartec’s renowned Alpha insulation, by adding merino wool, the Alpha Merino Air jacket punches way above its weight in terms of warmth, breathability and performance. Alpha Wool is used as interior insulation on the sleeve, front and collar, while Pertex Quantum Air provides an ultralight wind and water resistant barrier to help trap heat while maintaining class-leading breathability. Caring for your cycling gear properly will extend its life and maintain its performance, fit and quality. It’s important to consider these instructions carefully. While we stand behind the quality of our apparel, not adhering to these instructions will void our warranty against manufacturing & defects.
We strongly recommend washing your new gear before wearing it. You’ll find that your apparel will soften, and fit & comfort will improve after washing - especially with bibs & shorts.
Machine wash cool, 86°F (30°C) with like colors: Cooler temps maintain better longevity for your apparel. Like colors, especially lights, will remain more vibrant when washed with like colors.
Use mild detergent. Do not bleach or dry clean: Strong detergents & bleach can break down the fibers and elastane in the garment, dramatically reducing its life.
Close all fastenings: this goes also for other garments mixed in with your cycling apparel. Velcro closures or clasps can catch on stitching or trim and damage your garments.
Lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry: Do not put your cycling apparel in the dryer. Even on low heat. Don’t do it. Heat can damage fabric, elastic and heat transfer logos very easily. Lycra (Elastane) is used throughout our garments to provide compression and support and is susceptible to damage from heat and can irreparably damage your apparel.
Our jerseys and bib shorts are intended to be form fit, providing compressive support, maximizing performance of the fabrics, and reducing fatigue and chafing. Due to the compressive nature of the fabrics, you will be able to fit into more than one size. Please use the charts below to help determine your optimum size:
Our sizing chart represents the majority of riders we’ve worked with first hand in our clothing. If your size falls outside of the specified chart, please contact customer service for insights or take advantage of our Signature Guarantee which allows for testing and return within 30 days if your riding experience, including fit, isn’t improved.

Checks every box and even boxes I hadn't thought of :-) Lightweight. Luxuriously soft and comfortable. Warm enough to ride at tempo done to the teens F (with decent base). Breathable enough to work into the 40's without sweating. Attention to all the details--extended cuffs, raised fleece collar, accessible/expandable pockets. I've tried this out on several wintry rides and trading out base layers from a summer weight merino to Velocio's heavy merino base am perfectly fine wearing this well below freezing and in light precipitation. I doubt it would hold up well in steady light rain. What I really like most about this, other than the beautiful style and color, is that it covers such a wide range of temps that it's become my primary winter shell. I'd note that it is designed to breathe/vent, which means you'll get a light airflow--not enough to chill, but enough that if you're just ambling at low effort you might not get much thermal benefit. Anything zone 2 and up, though, and not only will you remain warm but it manages to avoid building up humidity or sweat inside. This goes down as one of the best cycling apparel purchases I've ever made!
I love the jacket And the two base layer shirts l got and they have great customer service
Warm, light weight, and very nice cycling fit. Worn in 40 degrees, wind 20 mph and with a base layer, fleece jersey was comfortable without becoming soggy from sweat. Sleeves long enough to overlap gloves. Usually wear large (5’9”, 170 lbs), but had to return for an XL. Customer service was prompt and seamless. Very pleasantly surprised at warmth and light weight.
Very light weight and deceivingly warm! Keeps your core warm and allows heat to vent out the back, keeping you fairly dry. Works very well with a base layer for 30 degree weather. Tried both L and XL. Thought L was too tight; however, the fit is perfect. I'm 6'2 and a little over 200 lbs.
Originally ordered a large but an XL was perfect. So light yet warm!
