Caring for your cycling gear properly will extend its life and maintain its performance, fit and quality. Its important to consider these instructions carefully. While we stand behind the quality of our apparel, not adhering to these instructions will void our warranty against manufacturing & defects.
We strongly recommend washing your new gear before wearing it. Youll find that your apparel will soften, and fit & comfort will improve after washing - especially with bibs & shorts.
Machine wash cool, 86F (30C) with like colors: Cooler temps maintain better longevity for your apparel. Like colors, especially lights, will remain more vibrant when washed with like colors.
Use mild detergent. Do not bleach or dry clean: Strong detergents & bleach can break down the fibers and elastane in the garment, dramatically reducing its life.
Close all fastenings: this goes also for other garments mixed in with your cycling apparel. Velcro closures or clasps can catch on stitching or trim and damage your garments.
Lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry: Do not put your cycling apparel in the dryer. Even on low heat. Dont do it. Heat can damage fabric, elastic and heat transfer logos very easily. Lycra (Elastane) is used throughout our garments to provide compression and support and is susceptible to damage from heat and can irreparably damage your apparel.
How do your jackets fit?
Our jackets are patterned in the riding position, with a tight fit across the chest and arms with a more forward position. This is intentional to reduce flapping and extra fabric across the chest while riding. When standing, the jacket will feel tight across the chest, shoulders and torso. The arm length might appear long as well. However, the intended fit is tailored for on-the-bike positioning where the shoulders and torso no longer feel tight and the extra arm length hits the wrists in the appropriate spot. Constructed without extra fabric to flap around - it should fit tight over your jersey (with enough room for a long sleeve and base layer), but shouldn’t appear baggy. We select fabrics that have some elasticity to allow for freedom of movement even with a tailored fit to accommodate some range of fit within each size.
The Velocio Signature Guarantee underscores our mission to create a better cycling experience. We believe that riding in our gear is the best proof of our commitment to quality and performance. Therefore, we stand behind everything we make. Try any of our products for 30 days to ensure it meets your needs. Wear it. Ride in it. Wash it. We believe it will provide a better riding experience. If you are not 100% satisfied with your Velocio product, you may return it within 30 days of receiving the product.
Our jerseys and bib shorts are intended to be form fit, providing compressive support, maximizing the performance of the fabrics, and reducing fatigue and chafing. Please use the charts below to help determine your optimum size. If you find that you are on the upper or lower end of height and weight for a given size, the garment will have more or less compression respectively. In areas of overlap, multiple sizes will work — choose between the smaller or larger option for more or less compression.

Really impressed with this jacket over a surprisingly wide range of temperatures. Fit is accommodating, but still feels like a jersey. My one disappointment is the lack of a small, secure zippered pocket like you find on Velocio jerseys. It's a minor thing, but actually makes a real difference for me. Still giving 5 stars because the jacket is so exceptional otherwise.
This jacket is amazing! I have only used it once but can immediately tell it will be my go to jacket for winter riding. I used it in 40 degree temps with the 210 baselayer and was perfectly comfortable. I think I could easily ride in the low-30s with this setup. It breathes well and the fit is perfect. The Pertex Quantum outer layer should provide some protection from light rain, but I haven’t tested this out yet. I love the alpha merino wool inner layer in the front to protect you from the wind and it is super comfortable around the collar. The back is a fleece layer. I am 5’8 with 38 inch chest and went with a medium which the size chart recommended. I also have a Signature jacket in the small size which is a little tight for me.
Love this jacket so far. Very lightweight when unboxing and worried it might not be as warm as i'd hoped. Ridden with it this past month in 5-32 degree ranges with the local college road team on base rides and so impressed with its warmth. The Alpha Wool is for real. If its 20-32 I'll run a normal sleeveless jersey under the jacket for the extra pockets and its all I need. The jacket is too warm for 45+ in my book. Back pockets are deep and sweetly stretchy for easy in and out action. The jacket fits good on the bike and is built to fit for that more than walking around, so feels a lil weird off the bike. My best winter riding jacket ever and soooo much better than all those heavy, thick winter thermal jackets of my past seasons.
Really a nice jacket, I've worn it about 6 times in the last few weeks. I'm not sure how warm it would be under 40 degrees without a very heavy base layer, but for the 40's to low 50's it is now my go to jacket. The visibility of the Fire Red (orange actually) is greatly appreciated.
I’ve used this jacket now in temps (F) ranging from the mid 40s to around 22, and it’s performed very well. I’ve yet to be too hot or too cold. The combination of a windproof front and a breathable back works great, and the fleece is cozy and warm. Also noteworthy is the well designed collar—high, wind proof and fleece lined. The zipper is operable one handed, even with “lobster” type gloves, another welcome feature. I’ve noted that it runs small (I’d say slightly small) because going by the Velocio fit guide I would take a medium. The large is snug at the waist for me (165 lbs, 5’10”) and there’s just room enough for a heavy merino LS jersey beneath it, although so far, even in the low 20s a light LS base layer is all I’ve needed. It’s very lightweight, which is great, but I do have some concerns regarding the long term durability of the face fabric.
