It’s been celebrated as a “perfect fit” and a “wildly versatile piece” by professional riders. That’s because it has amazing versatility, wears like a jersey and works as a true 3-season outer layer. The ES Jacket is further enhanced by the pairing of Polartec® ’s Power Shield Pro®: their top of the line, ultra-breathable windproof and highly water resistant (5m) membrane softshell fabric with luxuriously soft and breathable Italian Superroubaix. All that tech means wind cutting-non-flapping awesomeness that looks sleek as hell.

The functional layer of Power Shield Pro® enables the fabric to block 99% of the wind but allows enough air to circulate to keep you from overheating. Comfortable down to 30º F (-1º C), the jacket hits its stride in the days between Winter & Summer when comfort is needed amid ever-changing weather.

Sizing

Chest - Start by placing a measuring tape around the largest part of your chest. The tape should be flat but not too snug.

Inseam - Measured from your crotch to the base of your ankle.

Waist - Your natural waist lies between your bottom ribs and hip bones, close to the navel. To measure, breathe deeply, relax your stomach and lie the tape measure flat around your waist, allowing for a ¼ inch of slack.

    :

This jacket has quickly become my favorite, and easily the most versatile, piece of cycling clothing that I own. I ride in northern California which doesn’t exactly get a proper winter by many people’s standards but there are a handful of months where the temperature never gets much above the mid-60s and if you are riding early in the day you can face below 30s as well. What makes this jacket amazing? Here is my list:

    1) It’s unbelievably light for a jacket with this amount of wind protection and insulation. You can take it off and legitimately stow it in a center pocket.
    2) The fit is perfection. I’m 5’7” 135 and a ‘S’ is completely dialed in with room to layer if you want and there is never any excess fabric flapping around.
    3) Is so comfortable you can wear it against your skin in place of a jersey. It’s actually more comfortable than some of my long sleeve jerseys.
    4) On its versatility, the range you can use this jacket in is impressive. I’ve ridden it well below 30 degrees with a long sleeve wool base layer and a long sleeve jersey under the jacket. Low 40s? Drop the long sleeve jersey and just wear a long sleeve base layer under the jacket. Mid-40s to 50s with a cold wind blowing? A short sleeve base layer is all you need under this piece. And to top it all of,f I’ve ridden most of these temperature ranges in the rain as well with no issues thanks to the top notch water resistance. No need for additional rain protection.

As you can see, I love this piece… and I’m pretty sure you will too!
