Caring for your cycling gear properly will extend its life and maintain its performance, fit and quality. It’s important to consider these instructions carefully. While we stand behind the quality of our apparel, not adhering to these instructions will void our warranty against manufacturing & defects.
We strongly recommend washing your new gear before wearing it. You’ll find that your apparel will soften, and fit & comfort will improve after washing - especially with bibs & shorts.
Machine wash cool, 86°F (30°C) with like colors: Cooler temps maintain better longevity for your apparel. Like colors, especially lights, will remain more vibrant when washed with like colors.
Use mild detergent. Do not bleach or dry clean: Strong detergents & bleach can break down the fibers and elastane in the garment, dramatically reducing its life.
Close all fastenings: this goes also for other garments mixed in with your cycling apparel. Velcro closures or clasps can catch on stitching or trim and damage your garments.
Lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry: Do not put your cycling apparel in the dryer. Even on low heat. Don’t do it. Heat can damage fabric, elastic and heat transfer logos very easily. Lycra (Elastane) is used throughout our garments to provide compression and support and is susceptible to damage from heat and can irreparably damage your apparel.
How do your vests fit?
Our vests are patterned for the riding position, with a tighter fit across the chest and an arm opening with a more forward position. This is intentional to reduce flapping and extra fabric across the chest while riding. When standing, the vest will feel tight across the chest and torso. This piece should fit tight over your jersey (with enough room for a long sleeve and base layer), and shouldn’t appear baggy. We select fabrics that have some elasticity to allow for freedom of movement even with a tailored fit to accommodate some range of fit within each size.
How do your jackets fit?
Similar to our vests, our jackets are patterned in the riding position, with a tight fit across the chest and arms with a more forward position. This is intentional to reduce flapping and extra fabric across the chest while riding. When standing, the jacket will feel tight across the chest, shoulders and torso. The arm length might appear long as well. However, the intended fit is tailored for on-the-bike positioning where the shoulders and torso no longer feel tight and the extra arm length hits the wrists in the appropriate spot. Constructed without extra fabric to flap around - it should fit tight over your jersey (with enough room for a long sleeve and base layer), but shouldn’t appear baggy. We select fabrics that have some elasticity to allow for freedom of movement even with a tailored fit to accommodate some range of fit within each size.
Our jerseys and bib shorts are intended to be form fit, providing compressive support, maximizing performance of the fabrics, and reducing fatigue and chafing. Due to the compressive nature of the fabrics, you will be able to fit into more than one size. Please use the charts below to help determine your optimum size:

Very versatile jacket and packs down super small. Have been carrying it all fall and into winter here in MI in an Ornot mini handlebar bag w plenty of room to spare for other items. Easily one of my favorite pieces and the fit and quality are what you’d expect from Velocio.
Ordered a medium based on guide, but found it to be too short and a little tight...6'3" tall, 175lbs. Return was quick, simple and easy. Initial medium was super light weight and loved the look and feel...if I can get one that fits. Awaiting a large that I've been notified has shipped
I bought this jacket after reading a review on Outdoor Magazine. The jacket I had been using has no venting and I run pretty hot, so moisture develops in the sleeves and I'm suddenly cold and wet on my ride. This Velocio jacket is super thin and works wonders. The venting works great. Once my body warmed up on the ride, the jacket kept the heat in - but I didn't get overheated or suffer from condensation on the sleeves. Snug-ish fit - perfect for me. My only problem with the selection they have now is that the jackets are dark colored. Bright, florescent colors would be a lot better for visibility and safety on a road bike.
I am at 5'9" 70KG fit perfect! Fit tight and comfortable same time that you can have long sleeve jersey under layer.
This jacket is perfect for a warm-up on your morning ride in the summer. Gets great air flow and it's super light weight and easy to pack away. I do wish there was some reflective or bright coloring on the back. Otherwise it's exactly what I was looking for.
