Our all-new Ultralight Bib Short reimagines the award-winning Signature Fly as a lightweight option for high temperatures and long rides. Capable of all-day riding, the Ultralight uses featherweight high gauge Swiss milled lycra and our lightest high-density chamois. We knew we needed to maintain the same pee-break friendly performance of our other bib shorts and tights, so we took everything we've learned from testing and feedback of our FLY design and have refined our design through clever patterning and finishing to allow for the same great function in a more streamlined and lighter bib short. Same great function, no zipper required.
Fabric: 80% Polyamide / 20% Elastane

Caring for your cycling gear properly will extend its life and maintain its performance, fit and quality. It’s important to consider these instructions carefully. While we stand behind the quality of our apparel, not adhering to these instructions will void our warranty against manufacturing & defects.
We strongly recommend washing your new gear before wearing it. You’ll find that your apparel will soften, and fit & comfort will improve after washing - especially with bibs & shorts.
Machine wash cool, 86°F (30°C) with like colors: Cooler temps maintain better longevity for your apparel. Like colors, especially lights, will remain more vibrant when washed with like colors.
Use mild detergent. Do not bleach or dry clean: Strong detergents & bleach can break down the fibers and elastane in the garment, dramatically reducing its life.
Close all fastenings: this goes also for other garments mixed in with your cycling apparel. Velcro closures or clasps can catch on stitching or trim and damage your garments.
Lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry: Do not put your cycling apparel in the dryer. Even on low heat. Don’t do it. Heat can damage fabric, elastic and heat transfer logos very easily. Lycra (Elastane) is used throughout our garments to provide compression and support and is susceptible to damage from heat and can irreparably damage your apparel.
Velocio fit is designed for comfort and performance. Starting with a form-fit silhouette, we've developed our women's-specific patterns from the ground up to compliment a wide range of body types and riding styles. All of our apparel is tailored for on-bike fit to ensure optimal muscle support and range of motion while riding. You may find certain aspects of our garments to seem "off" while standing, yet once you start pedaling these points disappear.
Velocio bibs and shorts are made from highly compressive performance fabric for excellent support through an athletic fit. They will feel small when you first put them on and will often require washing and a few rides for them to "break in." We strongly believe in the benefits of compression - both in its performance benefits, as well as in its long-distance comfort - and we've designed all of our bibs with this in mind.
Should you want a more relaxed fit, we recommend ordering a size up. Find your fit through our sizing tables below.
Chest - Start by placing a measuring tape around the largest part of your chest. The tape should be flat but not too snug.
Waist - Your natural waist lies between your bottom ribs and hip bones, close to the navel. To measure, breathe deeply, relax your stomach and lie the tape measure flat around your waist, allowing for a ¼ inch of slack.
Hip - Measured around the widest point of your hips.
Model measurements - Shown wearing size S jersey / M bib short.

I have only used them twice so far, but these bibs are everything you advertised them to be and more! I absolutely love them! they are the best I have ever owned. The pad is exactly what I needed, and that was my main reason for getting these. I have had a lot of discomfort with other pads, even with bibs that claim “love at first seat”. Riding in Velocio’s Women's Ultralight Bib Short is like sitting in my living room! I can’t believe how comfortable I am now. I rode 20 miles for the first ride in them, then 43 miles last week. On that last ride I PR’d with an 18mph average. I’d never done that before. These are so good that I ordered a second pair!
I've been wearing Velocio bib shorts for the last 3 years. The ultra light fly is indeed incredibly good at keeping me more ventilated than usual in hot days. In fact I feel comfortable wearing them in some of the cooler days for hard long rides. Why the 3 stars? When the riding gets hot and long (<80 miles) I start to get saddle sores back there (where I don't event really place a lot of my weight). I haven't had the same issue with the other bibs doing greater than century rides without using chamois cream. My theory is that the chamois pattern on these bibs are slightly different on the back side than the other fly signature or luxe flyless that I have. The wider curvature for the middle panel in the back seems to be adding more chafing. The thin fabric is already starting to get a bit over stretched, becoming see through, after 1 summer of riding. I hope Velocio will evolve this hot wether bib short concept in the coming years.
To be honest, I was hesitant to purchase these because I just figured the main feature of being able to stop for a bathroom break was a bit of a gimmick. Also, I have a very athletic build and was totally skeptical they’d actually work with my figure. Well guess what- they work! And they’re freaking awesome and I have ZERO REGRETS that I purchased them! I’m a bit of a cycling clothing snob, and gravitate towards Rapha or a few select indie brands. I’m more than pleased to add these to cycling wardrobe- all my other bibs haven’t been touched since these were delivered. The fabric is a gorgeous weight- they are breathable, yet supportive. Others have complained about them not being black-black. They are more of a dark charcoal , with the leg grippers being black- and they look awesome. The chamois is very ample, but not intrusive. It’s the perfect thickness. I’ve worn these mountain biking under baggies and by themselves for long road and gravel rides. Each time I stop for a ***** break- I’m giddy at the design ! Even better- they are a smaller company who strive to support women’s cycling. These are a win times a million!
Great fabric, stylish, comfy and easy ***-sey :)
Loved these bibs! I felt really supported in the core and no leg band creep. Don't quite understand the mesh panel in front but it didn't bother me.
