Caring for your cycling gear properly will extend its life and maintain its performance, fit and quality. It’s important to consider these instructions carefully. While we stand behind the quality of our apparel, not adhering to these instructions will void our warranty against manufacturing & defects.
We strongly recommend washing your new gear before wearing it. You’ll find that your apparel will soften, and fit & comfort will improve after washing - especially with bibs & shorts.
Machine wash cool, 86°F (30°C) with like colors: Cooler temps maintain better longevity for your apparel. Like colors, especially lights, will remain more vibrant when washed with like colors.
Use mild detergent. Do not bleach or dry clean: Strong detergents & bleach can break down the fibers and elastane in the garment, dramatically reducing its life.
Close all fastenings: this goes also for other garments mixed in with your cycling apparel. Velcro closures or clasps can catch on stitching or trim and damage your garments.
Lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry: Do not put your cycling apparel in the dryer. Even on low heat. Don’t do it. Heat can damage fabric, elastic and heat transfer logos very easily. Lycra (Elastane) is used throughout our garments to provide compression and support and is susceptible to damage from heat and can irreparably damage your apparel.
Our jerseys and bib shorts are intended to be form fit, providing compressive support, maximizing performance of the fabrics, and reducing fatigue and chafing. Due to the compressive nature of the fabrics, you will be able to fit into more than one size. Please use the charts below to help determine your optimum size:
Our sizing chart represents the majority of riders we’ve worked with first hand in our clothing. If your size falls outside of the specified chart, please contact customer service for insights or take advantage of our Signature Guarantee which allows for testing and return within 30 days if your riding experience, including fit, isn’t improved.

First, I really love Velocio, they're my favorite cycling brand, especially for a petite fit (I'm a perfect XXS, every time), so I had high hopes and really wish I could have made this work. - It's a close fit, as Velocio products are typically and designed to be on the bike. But, I couldn't imagine wearing fitting anything but the most skin tight layer underneath, and for a blended purpose 'Recon' jacket, felt like I would want to be comfortable in at least a regular-weight or merino long-sleeve (which I'd probably wear in such cold weather on or off the bike). - The inside is a soft brushed, plush material. That makes it amazingly comfortable off the bike, but I felt like I'd become uncomfortable immediately on working up the slightest sweat or exertion on the bike. -Color is beautiful. But, on the bike, I'd want a little more reflective strips. Off the bike, the turquoise was a bit funky. So, parts are perfect on the bike (fit), parts are perfect off the bike (comfort), but it doesn't do either perfectly, and I didn't want something that would do both halfway. I just knew I wouldn't reach for it and couldn't justify the price at the point.
I ride in NW Colorado and our shoulder seasons can be long and filled with unpredictable weather. This jacket is the perfect piece to stuff in my saddle bag on a day when I might see wind or lots of sun or everything in between. It is warm and blocks the wind. I love the zipper pockets. It fits great over a jersey with things in the pockets, but has a slim enough fit to look good as a casual spring jacket off the bike. All my friends want one now!
I love the Recon. Easy to button and unbutton while riding. It's great for windy days and water resistant when you get stuck in a spring rain surprise. Only thing that is slightly annoying is the inner layer of the sleeves moves when you take the jacket off, so putting it back you have to work to readjust the inner lining.
Pretty great. I have struggled to find something that really works for those days around freezing that keeps me properly warm. This is it. It's light, and cozy and paired with the merino wool under shirt and just to be sure I wore my ultra light vest underneath for wind breaking (but didn't need it after I warmed up so I was able to take it off and roll it up and stuff it down the back of my bibs). I'm super glad I got this. it's perfect over either a LS jersey or Merino wool undershirt with full length bibs. Very happy with this piece.
This jacket has solved my winter riding problem. No matter how many layers I wore and how strategically I layered I could never stay warm on the road in under 40 degree temps. With a thin base layer and a single long sleeve underneath, this jacket keeps me comfortable at freezing temps. It is soft and never stiff. A game changer.
