  • Caring for your cycling gear properly will extend its life and maintain its performance, fit and quality. It’s important to consider these instructions carefully. While we stand behind the quality of our apparel, not adhering to these instructions will void our warranty against manufacturing & defects.

We strongly recommend washing your new gear before wearing it. You’ll find that your apparel will soften, and fit & comfort will improve after washing - especially with bibs & shorts.

Machine wash cool, 86°F (30°C) with like colors: Cooler temps maintain better longevity for your apparel. Like colors, especially lights, will remain more vibrant when washed with like colors.

Use mild detergent. Do not bleach or dry clean: Strong detergents & bleach can break down the fibers and elastane in the garment, dramatically reducing its life.

Close all fastenings: this goes also for other garments mixed in with your cycling apparel. Velcro closures or clasps can catch on stitching or trim and damage your garments.

Lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry: Do not put your cycling apparel in the dryer. Even on low heat. Don’t do it. Heat can damage fabric, elastic and heat transfer logos very easily. Lycra (Elastane) is used throughout our garments to provide compression and support and is susceptible to damage from heat and can irreparably damage your apparel.

Velocio fit is designed for comfort and performance. Starting with a form-fit silhouette, we've developed our men's-specific patterns from the ground up to compliment a wide range of body types and riding styles. All of our apparel is tailored for on-bike fit to ensure optimal muscle support and range of motion while riding. You may find certain aspects of our garments to seem "off" while standing, yet once you start pedaling these points disappear.

Velocio bibs and shorts are made from highly compressive performance fabric for excellent support through an athletic fit. They will feel small when you first put them on and will often require washing and a few rides for them to "break in." We strongly believe in the benefits of compression - both in its performance benefits, as well as in its long-distance comfort - and we've designed all of our bibs with this in mind.

Should you want a more relaxed fit, we recommend ordering a size up. Find your fit through our sizing tables below.

Taking your measurements

Chest - Start by placing a measuring tape around the largest part of your chest. The tape should be flat but not too snug.

Waist - Your natural waist lies between your bottom ribs and hip bones, close to the navel. To measure, breathe deeply, relax your stomach and lie the tape measure flat around your waist, allowing for a ¼ inch of slack.

Hip - Measured around the widest point of your hips.

Model measurements - Shown wearing size M.

    Signature Rain Jacket Love!

It took me a while to research different cycling rain jackets. I was looking for one that was lightweight, folded and packable into my jersey pocket, and had some stretch to it as well as one that was truly rain proof. My first ride out using it included a heavy rain for about 30 minutes. The raindrops seem to repel off the jacket but it wasn’t until the rain stopped that I was able to take the jacket off and realize that it was completely dry on the inside. The rain jacket really did work well and I love the overall fit and comfort of this jacket. But warning, the sizing runs extremely small. I bought an extra large jacket and it fits my medium torso perfectly. I have a 31 waist and normally wear mediums across-the-board but bought the extra large after reading other’s reviews.

    Sizing runs very small

Great jacket. Neoshell is my favorite shell material because it breathes super well and keeps you dry for hours in rain (I ride all winter in Seattle). Sizing is very Euro on this shell. I have a 39 inch chest, and needed the XL to be able to zip the jacket with a tight thin fleece layer underneath. Still is very form fitting. Most US brands, I am a M.

Best cycling rain jacket I have used

I have always avoided rain jackets for cycling due to them feeling like wearing a trash bag but this jacket breathes so well I have used it not just for rain but also for cool days. Great fit, quiet and just enough stretch
