The Micromodal is a new take on the performance summer weight jersey. T-shirt soft, yet highly technical with the same refined fit found on our other short sleeve jerseys. Modal, which is derived from beech trees provides excellent moisture wicking and is cool to the touch, while a carbon thread knit into the fabric adds anti-microbial properties. No zipper and a nod to soccer jersey styling give a unique and casual look. It's a top geared for your next gravel adventure or coffee shop ride.
Composition: 86% Modal / 12% Elastane / 2% Carbon
Made in: Italy
Caring for your cycling gear properly will extend its life and maintain its performance, fit and quality. It’s important to consider these instructions carefully. While we stand behind the quality of our apparel, not adhering to these instructions will void our warranty against manufacturing & defects.
We strongly recommend washing your new gear before wearing it. You’ll find that your apparel will soften, and fit & comfort will improve after washing - especially with bibs & shorts.
Machine wash cool, 86°F (30°C) with like colors: Cooler temps maintain better longevity for your apparel. Like colors, especially lights, will remain more vibrant when washed with like colors.
Use mild detergent. Do not bleach or dry clean: Strong detergents & bleach can break down the fibers and elastane in the garment, dramatically reducing its life.
Close all fastenings: this goes also for other garments mixed in with your cycling apparel. Velcro closures or clasps can catch on stitching or trim and damage your garments.
Lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry: Do not put your cycling apparel in the dryer. Even on low heat. Don’t do it. Heat can damage fabric, elastic and heat transfer logos very easily. Lycra (Elastane) is used throughout our garments to provide compression and support and is susceptible to damage from heat and can irreparably damage your apparel.
How does the fit of your different jersey models compare?
Updated for 2020, our Signature jersey features more compression and support compared to previous years, but is less compressive fit compared to other models. Our SE is more compressive than the Signature in the sleeves, but will feel similar otherwise. The Ultralight is our most compressive and supportive fit. The Radiator Mesh jersey is similar to our Ultralight, but less compressive through the torso/stomach area given the Radiator fabric. The CONCEPT jersey is our most aerodynamic and race-fit jersey, and offers slightly less compression than the Ultralight. And the RECON Micromodal is our least compressive, fitting like a slim-cut tee shirt. All of our jerseys are intended to be a tight/tailored fit to minimize extra material. This has several benefits, including muscle support, minimal chafing, and improved breathability and wicking.
What is the length and width of your jerseys?
Our jersey sizing is unique in that it is graded differently for every size. What this means is that we design each element of the jersey for every size. So every jersey will have slightly different measurements depending on the model and its intended fit. However, our jersey models are intended to fit the same in each size. That does vary though, given different fabrics have a different feel and elasticity, so the measurements aren't the same for each jersey we make. We highly recommend following our sizing chart or shopping at one of our retailers to find your preferred size and fit.
Our jerseys and bib shorts are intended to be form fit, providing compressive support, maximizing performance of the fabrics, and reducing fatigue and chafing. Due to the compressive nature of the fabrics, you will be able to fit into more than one size. Please use the charts below to help determine your optimum size:

5-10, 148lbs. Pretty normal, on the skinnier side, cyclist build. Quickly becoming a favorite jersey. Good quality, I have owned my share for comparison. I hope they make some other colors, in the baseball style.
This shirt is amazing! I will be ordering the blue with stripe shoulders when it’s back in stock. But more importantly the customer service is incredible. I ordered the wrong size and the exchange was seamless and the service team went above and beyond to make the exchange easy!
I am the type of rider who doesn't like a constricted feeling around my neck, so often ride with my jersey unzipped a bit. I was slightly nervous about this when I received the jersey as a gift and saw the crew cut neck. It is not a problem at all. They nailed the cut on this, and I have a big chest for a cyclist. The fabric is unbelievable. So cool. So breathable. So stretchy. Fit is amazing. The look is incredible too. My buddy who is a total Rapha-only freak was instantly obsessed with this jersey. My only criticism of the jersey is the pockets. They need some major attention. Anything in them bounces around annoyingly and this leads to the jersey riding up in the back, only exacerbating the problem of bounce. This is an issue on road or gravel, and I don't exactly have an upright fit on my bikes. Velocio should consider using a more robust lycra type fabric just over the pockets. This would also allow them to have some cool contrasting blocks of color. I hope they see this and update the pockets. When they do, I'll be first in line for v2.0.
I live in NYC and it gets hot and humid. I wanted something for the really hot days, but also something that encouraged me to slow down a bit on the chill rides. This fits the bill really well. It's insanely soft, breathes incredibly well and appears to be pretty durable. I bought the green one and my only word of caution is that it does show sweat pretty badly - so don't show up on a date after you've ridden while wearing this jersey. I'm 6' on the dot and fit/slim build (you know, like a cyclist) and the medium fits perfectly.
Love the material and concept, but the fabric characteristic that I like so much in the jersey, does not work well for the pockets. The material stretches too much when loaded with something like a phone, and caused the jersey to sag way too much. Fix that, and it’s a perfect summer MTB or gravel jersey.
