There’s a better way to stay warm, on-bike and off and this is a three-season staple for damn near every day.
Caring for your cycling gear properly will extend its life and maintain its performance, fit and quality. It’s important to consider these instructions carefully. While we stand behind the quality of our apparel, not adhering to these instructions will void our warranty against manufacturing & defects.
We strongly recommend washing your new gear before wearing it. You’ll find that your apparel will soften, and fit & comfort will improve after washing - especially with bibs & shorts.
Machine wash cool, 86°F (30°C) with like colors: Cooler temps maintain better longevity for your apparel. Like colors, especially lights, will remain more vibrant when washed with like colors.
Use mild detergent. Do not bleach or dry clean: Strong detergents & bleach can break down the fibers and elastane in the garment, dramatically reducing its life.
Close all fastenings: this goes also for other garments mixed in with your cycling apparel. Velcro closures or clasps can catch on stitching or trim and damage your garments.
Lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry: Do not put your cycling apparel in the dryer. Even on low heat. Don’t do it. Heat can damage fabric, elastic and heat transfer logos very easily. Lycra (Elastane) is used throughout our garments to provide compression and support and is susceptible to damage from heat and can irreparably damage your apparel.
Our jerseys and bib shorts are intended to be form fit, providing compressive support, maximizing performance of the fabrics, and reducing fatigue and chafing. Due to the compressive nature of the fabrics, you will be able to fit into more than one size. Please use the charts below to help determine your optimum size:

One of the best feeling shirts I own. It feels like thick silk, and you barely notice it's there when wearing it. I've used it as a base layer for ski touring and riding and it's worked out great. My only gripe is that it's started to pill in the front after the first use. This was likely due to the waist belt on my backpack, even though it was protected by a softshell and hardshell. Thus, I'd probably suggest only using it for activities that don't create any hot spots or rubbing to extend it's life. I purchased a size small (5'8" 160lb) and it fits great.
This has to be one of the most "luxe" pieces of kit I've ever purchased. The material is exceptionally warm and comfortable and it is very well constructed.
Got this in a size smaller for a tighter fit and it’s perfect under my jersey. Even took it skiing and loved its performance. Super comfortable for a good day out in the cold.
I have to admit, even though I've been happy with every Velocio product I've ever bought, I'm a bit "value oriented" for everyday use so only look to these for those infrequent and truly special rides. This base layer, though, has blown me away. I ride year round into "polar vortex" extremes, often doing 3+ hours in sub freezing temps and have lots of very nice base layers for 20-30% less cost. I tried this out on the first of 5 100k "festive500" rides and refused to send it to the laundry hamper, insisted on wearing it 5 straight days/rides. It's insanely soft, feels luxurious. You'll hate to take it off. Fit is a bit loose, not compressive. Warmth is obviously dependent on selection of outer softshell, but I was able to use this plus appropriate jacket for 3+ hour rides down in <20f days, up to 45F and was completely comfortable. Over 40 I sweated a bit, this breathed well but did end up a bit damp, but next morning was dry, no stink, ready for another ride. I've got Velocio bibs, jersey, gloves, socks, love them all (though have to hide the credit card statement) and despite the price am happy to rate them 5 stars. Based on that baseline and the fact that this base layer is competitively priced, I'd need to give this at least 7-8 stars. Riding in miserable weather doesn't have to be a miserable experience, and this is far and away the best winter riding purchase I've ever made. Feels amazing, performs brilliantly, and is versatile enough that it works for just about every winter/fall ride. Even looks great off the bike.
I absolutely love this long sleeve base layer! It has been a god send when temperatures drop below freezing! I love it so much on the bike I started using it while skiing! Perfect cold weather base layer
