A new take on a winter cycling glove, the Alpha borrows know-how from our Alpha System of Jacket + mid-layer which was inspired by high alpine mountaineering. The concept combines a our DVStretch Softshell outer layer for wind/water protection with Polartec's Alpha Direct inside for its high warmth-to-weight insulating qualities, in a newly developed 3D pattern. The result is our warmest glove, capable of temps below freezing, while maintaining a light low-bulk feel with unmatched dexterity.

Caring for your cycling gear properly will extend its life and maintain its performance, fit and quality. It’s important to consider these instructions carefully. While we stand behind the quality of our apparel, not adhering to these instructions will void our warranty against manufacturing & defects.
We strongly recommend washing your new gear before wearing it. You’ll find that your apparel will soften, and fit & comfort will improve after washing - especially with bibs & shorts.
Machine wash cool, 86°F (30°C) with like colors: Cooler temps maintain better longevity for your apparel. Like colors, especially lights, will remain more vibrant when washed with like colors.
Use mild detergent. Do not bleach or dry clean: Strong detergents & bleach can break down the fibers and elastane in the garment, dramatically reducing its life.
Close all fastenings: this goes also for other garments mixed in with your cycling apparel. Velcro closures or clasps can catch on stitching or trim and damage your garments.
Lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry: Do not put your cycling apparel in the dryer. Even on low heat. Don’t do it. Heat can damage fabric, elastic and heat transfer logos very easily. Lycra (Elastane) is used throughout our garments to provide compression and support and is susceptible to damage from heat and can irreparably damage your apparel.

I have been using these gloves for gravel rides in temps between 35-50 in the mountains of NC. My finger tips are slightly cold at the beginning of the ride but as I climb, they warm up/breathe and are still toasty on the descent. Bought the green as a friend has the orange but would love in a more fun color. Love All things Velocio!
Very nice glove with super high quality finish that Velocio is known for. It’s reasonably warm, but don’t expect miracles. The emphasis is still on dexterity. Hoping it will prove durable given the price.
I think this is a very well made glove for temperatures 35 to 45. My only complaint is the lining of the glove has a tendency to turn itself inside out when you remove the glove if you have any moisture at all on your hands. This is not a deal breaker, only makes it hard to get back on.
I am a spoiled SoCal wuss with Raynaud’s syndrome so I struggle to keep my fingers warm on crisp mornings. I I tried the Zero+ gloves first and still didn’t feel as warm as I wanted. So I upgraded to the Alphas and they’ve done the job and more. Durable, warm, and stylish (I got the green color). I use them so much I am thinking of getting the other color ha!
These gloves are great. The cut and finish are second to none. Those Italians sure know how to make nice gloves. I knew I’d keep them the moment I slipped them on. They are super cozy inside and will keep your digits warm down to around 20°F. If the temperature heads south from there, or if you throw heavy wind into the mixture, it’s ski glove time for me. I have bear paw hands and the size XL fits perfect - perhaps a bit on the snug side but that’s exactly what you want in a riding glove. Would definitely purchase again.
