Caring for your cycling gear properly will extend its life and maintain its performance, fit and quality. It’s important to consider these instructions carefully. While we stand behind the quality of our apparel, not adhering to these instructions will void our warranty against manufacturing & defects.
We strongly recommend washing your new gear before wearing it. You’ll find that your apparel will soften, and fit & comfort will improve after washing - especially with bibs & shorts.
Machine wash cool, 86°F (30°C) with like colors: Cooler temps maintain better longevity for your apparel. Like colors, especially lights, will remain more vibrant when washed with like colors.
Use mild detergent. Do not bleach or dry clean: Strong detergents & bleach can break down the fibers and elastane in the garment, dramatically reducing its life.
Close all fastenings: this goes also for other garments mixed in with your cycling apparel. Velcro closures or clasps can catch on stitching or trim and damage your garments.
Lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry: Do not put your cycling apparel in the dryer. Even on low heat. Don’t do it. Heat can damage fabric, elastic and heat transfer logos very easily. Lycra (Elastane) is used throughout our garments to provide compression and support and is susceptible to damage from heat and can irreparably damage your apparel.
Our jerseys and bib shorts are intended to be form fit, providing compressive support, maximizing performance of the fabrics, and reducing fatigue and chafing. Due to the compressive nature of the fabrics, you will be able to fit into more than one size. Please use the charts below to help determine your optimum size:

These are my new favorites! Toasty warm. Super comfortable. Great for the quick *** stop. Chamois is awesome. PLUS I crashed on black ice the second time I wore them. Popped up off the ground - my first thought being OH NO! I hope I didn't rip my new favorite tights! - but hooray, they had not a scratch or pull on them! Not just awesome to wear but apparently quite durable too! All the thumbs up!
Today was the day! I couldn’t wait for a seat cold enough to try out my new women’s zero bib tights! Poured a coffee, listened to Ted and Laura’s podcast about winter riding and then kitted up! It was a windchill of 19 and I was perfectly layered and quite comfortable. These have to be the best winter bib shorts I have ever worn. They got like a glove not only providing warmth but perfect compression. And they looked fabulous if I do say so myself! Have loved building my new cycling wardrobe with the Velocio line.
I'm relatively new to cold-weather riding -- for the last 6 years, when the weather got cold, I'd give up my ride for the warmth (?) of my gym's outdoor pool and the companionship of my fellow whacky masters swimmers. But the pool is not something I'm comfortable with in COVID times, so I had to find another way to spend more of my exercise budget outside on my bike. I purchased both the Zero Bibs this year, and have no regrets. I've found them to be exactly the right weight when the temps are between 20 and 35. The compression is great, too, and I think that helps with keeping my muscles from seizing up. Any colder, and you'll find me on my trainer, but I am so thankful that these bibs have given me an extra couple dozen days every winter that I can be outside. One note: the Fly Free feature hasn't been used outside yet....I simply can't bear exposing my behind to those kinds of temps, but I can attest that this feature makes that last minute pit stop on your way out the door that much less annoying! Size: Small Height: 5'3" Weight: 122 I'm on the cusp of small/medium in this particular style. Medium might go on a bit easier, and be a bit less tight in the shoulder straps, but the garment has loosened up a little with a few wears, so small was the right choice.
Honestly, I'm a big Velocio fan, but even with this bib tight my muscles are cold and tight at zero C/32 F. I know that's partially my own issues with circulation, and maybe I need several more layers on top, but by the time I get home my thighs are bright red with cold even on a ride of 1.5 hours. It's very comfortable, the high-vis fabric on the back of the calves is a great touch, the chamois is great, but I just wish it was magic. At just a few degrees above zero it's great. Also, I'm 5'7" with long legs (32" inseam), and I feel like the length is just perfect, I was even afraid it was too short at first (mine is medium). If your legs are super extra long this might be too short, although the stirrups do help to make sure it stays where it should.
