Alpha Glove

33 reviews

A new take on a winter cycling glove. The Alpha borrows know-how from our advanced Alpha System of jacket + mid-layer and incorporates that concept into an extremely warm yet lightweight glove. Inspired by high alpine mountaineering, the concept combines our DVStretch Softshell outer layer for wind/water protection with Polartec's Alpha Direct inside for its high warmth-to-weight insulating qualities, in a newly developed 3D pattern. The result is our warmest glove, capable of temps below freezing while maintaining a light low-bulk feel with unmatched dexterity.

Made in IT

Caring for your cycling gear properly will extend its life and maintain its performance, fit and quality. Its important to consider these instructions carefully. While we stand behind the quality of our apparel, not adhering to these instructions will void our warranty against manufacturing & defects.

We strongly recommend washing your new gear before wearing it. Youll find that your apparel will soften, and fit & comfort will improve after washing - especially with bibs & shorts.

Machine wash cool, 86F (30C) with like colors: Cooler temps maintain better longevity for your apparel. Like colors, especially lights, will remain more vibrant when washed with like colors.

Use mild detergent. Do not bleach or dry clean: Strong detergents & bleach can break down the fibers and elastane in the garment, dramatically reducing its life.

Close all fastenings: this goes also for other garments mixed in with your cycling apparel. Velcro closures or clasps can catch on stitching or trim and damage your garments.

Lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry: Do not put your cycling apparel in the dryer. Even on low heat. Dont do it. Heat can damage fabric, elastic and heat transfer logos very easily. Lycra (Elastane) is used throughout our garments to provide compression and support and is susceptible to damage from heat and can irreparably damage your apparel.

Glove Size Guide

Everyone's hands are different. This glove guide is meant to help you find the proper sizing for your specific measurements. If you find you’re on the edge of a size, or you like more room in your glove, we recommend sizing up.

Hand Width: Wrap a measuring tape or string around your hand at the knuckles and make a fist. The tape should be snug, but not biting into your hand. This is your hand width measurement.

Hand Length: Measure from the base of your palm where it meets the wrist to the tip of your longest finger. This is your hand length measurement.

Best gloves to keep your fingers warm

Great gloves, though size up

I've ridden these for a couple winters now - they're the best cold-weather gloves I've found, balancing warmth with bulk. Definitely size up - I'm a L in most companies and an XL in all Velocio gloves for some reason - but the 20-45 temperature range is if anything conservative. The coldest I've ridden in these was -9, and they were still at least a solid "ok" as long as I wasn't in the wind and was working. On the other end, I've taken them into the mid-50s and while my hands were sweating they weren't unpleasantly hot (and I mean it's not like the rest of me wasn't, either!). That Alpha insulation is magic.

Excellent

I’m a fan. I have Raynauds so my hands / fingers get cold faster than anyone else’s, and sporting these in the low 40s (SoCal winter) kept them toasty my whole ride. Plus, there was some room in there to wiggle. I usually wear a size 7 (medium in hospital gloves) and I bought a small, and I still had wiggle room. I’m bummed they don’t have black in a small anymore because I literally want another pair. Would recommend.
